Lovingly wheel thrown from earthenware clay, this beautiful ceramic vase was decorated with unique artist made luster glazes, and put through a complex firing process to achieve this rare in-glaze luster finish, on a functional vessel.  During the firing the metallic components of the glaze are drawn to the surface, forming a thin layer. The subtle and nuanced nature of this technique, with so many factors playing into the result, renders the vase completely one of a kind and not repeatable.
