This stoneware lusterware platter is hand molded into an organic shape, and finished with a unique combination of artist-made luster glazes. It is fired through a complex process that draws metallic elements to the surface, forming a delicate, iridescent layer. The result is a richly dimensional finish that shifts with the light… completely one of a kind and not repeatable.

The surface is alive with color and movement, catching the light in subtle, ever-changing ways and bringing a sense of depth and atmosphere to the piece.

Designed as a display object, this platter works beautifully as a feature on a coffee table, buffet, or shelf, and can also be used as a striking fruit holder. While the glaze is non-toxic, the surface characteristics make it unsuitable for regular dinnerware use.

Luster finishes are incredibly dynamic and can be difficult to photograph. I’ve done my best to represent each piece as accurately as possible, but part of the magic is seeing it in person… how it shifts and glows in different lighting and from different angles.
