This large hand built stoneware bowl is glazed in a unique, one of a kind, glaze composition. It features a delicious, swirling, multi glaze finish, reminiscent of a far off galaxy. This is the perfect fruit or salad serving bowl, and would work well as a coffee table center piece.

Process: Each bowl was handcrafted by rolling the clay into a slab, carefully forming the bowl over a hand made mold, and then leaving it to slowly dry. The bowls are then smoothed and given the finishing touches, fired in the kiln overnight, sanded, washed, glazed, and high fired again at 2200F degrees. Each kiln firing takes about 24 hours to fire and cool. Then, after one more sand to smooth any exposed stoneware it is ready to find its new home! The slab building process results in a unique, organic shape which highlights its artisan made nature and sets it apart from all mass produced pieces.
