This hand built earthenware bowl is a one-of-a-kind artwork, finished with a creative application of my personally formulated luster glazes and fired through a specially developed multi-stage process. This piece has gorgeous metallic beading detail through the glaze and needs to be seen in person to really be appreciated!

During the gas reduction, an alchemical transformation occurs: the metals in the glaze are drawn to the surface, creating finishes alive with iridescence and shimmering tones of gold, copper, and rainbow sheen. These layered, multi-glaze surfaces are impossible to replicate exactly, as the nuances of application and firing ensure each is truly unique.

This bowl is both functional and sculptural… perfect for holding treasures, or offerings, yet equally striking as a stand-alone art object. Its surface shimmers differently in every light, offering an ongoing sense of enchantment and sensory discovery.
