Learn how to have fun with glaze and create playful, interesting surfaces.

In this workshop, we’ll explore a range of commercial, mid-fire glazes and their properties, learn creative application techniques, and experiment with combining glazes in unique ways to develop beautiful, one-of-a-kind finishes. You’ll leave inspired and able take your glaze finishes to the next level.

Where: Nicola Moore Studio - Pasadena, California - Address will be sent after sign up.

What to bring: 3 pieces of mid fire bisqueware ready to glaze (cone 5/6 clay) - 8” size limit. Suggestions: a bowl, a plate, and a textured piece. If you are unable to get pieces made in time I will have some available for a small fee, but please let me know in advance.

I’ll have snacks and drinks available and feel free to bring along a lunch if you’ll need it.

Glazes and firing included in the workshop.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made at least 7 days before the workshop will receive a full refund. Unfortunately, refunds cannot be given for cancellations made within a week of the workshop date.

* Please note that I won’t be covering in-glaze luster in this class, as it’s a highly complex process that requires much more in-depth instruction. However, I will be showing you a variety of beautiful metallic and luster-like finishes that can be achieved with commercial mid-fire glazes.
